Job Description:
The selected candidate will support the development, writing, and editing of a variety of materials for proposals concerned with management and technical offerings. Develop in depth interview and survey techniques for gathering substantive input from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) relevant to specific management and technical disciplines.
Responsibilities:
1. Employ motivational techniques to conduct interviews and surveys with SMEs in sufficient detail to develop selling and compelling management and technical offerings relevant to RFP requirements.
2. Organize material and write proposal inputs to meet RFP requirements and specifications regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.
3. Edit material for structure, completeness, accuracy, organization consistency, and appropriateness of content. Recommend changes in scope, format and content, restructuring, and rewriting as required.
4. Tailor standardized offerings as needed to meet customer requirements. Create, modify, or edit visual materials such as photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, or charts to illustrate offering.
5. As required, review work of other writers and graphics and production personnel to ensure technical accuracy, clarity, and quality.
6. Develop and maintain close liaison with SMEs to ensure their engagement and review throughout the proposal development process.
7. Serve as a proposal section or volume lead.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary`s County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary`s County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Must have:
Bachelor`s degree in English, Journalism, or related field
At least 6 years experience developing or editing materials for technical proposals submitted to the DoD and other Federal agencies
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Security Clearance Required: ELIGIBLE Secret
